How are dunes changing?

Dunes provide critical coastal protection between coastal communities and the sea. Our founder partnered with a U.S. government agency to understand how dunes are changing at Ocean Beach.

By understanding how and when dunes are shifting, we can make better decisions about managing them to maximize coastal protection.

What are the risks at Sunset Dunes?

We work with UC Santa Cruz faculty in the Coastal Science and Policy Program to better understand flooding risks at San Francisco's newest coastal park.

By mapping vulnerabilities over exposure to sea-level rise, erosion and storm surge, we can understand where we need to reimagine coastal infrastructure and when.
