Currents

In December 2025, we partnered on a project with San Francisco Recreation & Parks, Environmental Science Associates and San Francisco Estuary Institute to analyze the current and future erosion/flooding vulnerabilities of San Francisco's dunes. 

In October 2025, we hosted a very windy and very wet booth at the Halloween Great Hauntway event at Sunset Dunes Park. There were laughs. There were tears. There were Reese's cups. 

In August 2025, we partnered with Surfrider and The Sierra Club to lead a bike tour of how the sewers and sand interact on the west side of San Francisco. We did go onto the sand. We did not go into the sewers. 

In July 2025, we partnered with the U.S. Geological Survey to start tracking coastal change at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. There are now eyes in the sky keeping tabs on the beach!

In May 2025, we partnered with coastal engineer Bob Battalio to explore South Ocean Beach during Surfrider's "Love Your Beach" tour. 

In April 2025, we partnered with Friends of Sunset Dunes and The Sierra Club to host a coastal walk and talk on the past, present and future of coastal change at Great Highway in San Francisco.
